Kamehameha Institute’s Chief Operating Officer has asked for a network infrastructure design for three buildings situated in the Hawaiian Island of Honolulu, Hilo, and Lihue. Every facility comprises of floors and they need every floor to be linked to the network. The first and second floor of every building each needs 150 network links, the third floor of every building houses an information center and may need 75 network links, and the Honolulu station will need extra network links in case of a failover.
IP Range
The Hilo station will be considered as the central information center and will accommodate redundant database servers. The following table illustrates usable hosts for management and production VLAN.

Description
A reserved circuit may be suitable for the three sites in Kamehameha Institute. The circuits may uninterruptedly function as the communication connection between the network and the internet service provider (Meyers, 2018). Every station based at the Kamehameha Institute can be linked by integrating star topology. This will aid the interconnections at diverse stages in the organizational structure.
Cables and Connectors
The suggested LAN connection that may be incorporates at Kamehameha Institute to aid with the transmission would be Unshielded Twisted Pair cable (UTP) cables together with RJ-45 connectors. A Cat 6A may be integrated in connection of nodes, printers and additional client devices (Warren & Brown Networks, 2020). This is because of Cat 6A supporting gigabit Ethernet and similarly preventing Electromagnetic interfering.
Hardware Components
The specific hardware components used in the network design consist of routers, switches, wireless access point and firewalls.
High Availability
Kamehameha institute will incorporate the element of high availability to avert any instances of failover. According to Rouse (2019), High availability is the system’s ability or to be constantly active for an appropriately prolonged duration. The institute may similarly incorporate a stand-up ISP to guarantee internet connectivity.
