Part One
Doctor Russel Blaylock M.D expounds on the causes of cancer and treatment of cancer using non-pharmaceutical procedures. There have been numerous studies that indicate non -pharmaceutical treatments are much more effective than pharmaceutical medicine since they also reduce body toxicity and help patients lead a significantly longer life. The leading cause of cancer is poor nutrition (Amaral, dos Santos, Andrade, Severino, and Carvalho, 2019). Poor nutrition reflects the usage of omega-six oils such as sunflower oil and corn oil, which are cancer stimulants. The omega-six oils are essential in everyday life; however, consumption should be limited. Processed foods have high levels of omega-6 fats; thus, consumers are susceptible to cancer.
Part Two
Studies show that people who develop cancer have prior diseases that cause chronic inflammation that lead to cancer cells’ development. 76 % of black people and 10 % of white people who developed cancer had chronic inflammation before detecting cancer. The reduction of chronic inflammation is through omega-3 oils such as fish oil supplements (Amaral, dos Santos, Andrade, Severino, and Carvalho, 2019). Consumption of flavonoids rich diets such as spinach and broccoli strengthen normal cells and inhibit chronic inflammation, thus reducing cancer risk.
Part Three
The use of antioxidants and flavonoids in cancer patients’ treatment should be encouraged due to the benefits they possess. Antioxidants improve the effectiveness of chemotherapy and reduce complications associated with the treatment. Antioxidants enter the normal cells and protect against radiation molecules produced during chemotherapy. The most potent antioxidant is curcumin. Flavonoids are also essential in inhibiting cancer-related enzymes and interfering with cancerous cell reproduction.
Part Four
According to studies, high iron content in red meat is a powerful generator of free radicals that cause cancer. The high iron content in red meat is highly absorbable, thus increasing the risk of cancer. Chemotherapy treatment is also carcinogenic as it releases free radicals into the body, causing chemo-induced cancer. Antioxidants and flavonoids suppress the absorption of iron into the body and limit the damage caused by radiation to normal cells increasing chances of continued remission.
