The nature of relations between individuals influences the outcomes of events in the contemporary society. On many instances, individuals are tested on their ability to tolerate the views held by other people because of their strong influence on their perspectives towards life. In this regard, the concept of emotional intelligence is often explored to establish the best approaches that people can use to overcome various issues affecting their quality of life. In this chapter, I realized that people perceive love differently and other aspects of life such as sexual satisfaction. However, striking a balance determines the best approaches that people can use to overcome setbacks that influence their nature of interactions with other individuals.
Self-awareness, self-regulation, and motivation are some of the critical elements of emotional intelligence that influence the nature of outcomes in the contemporary community. Empathy and social skills are also aspects that are used to determine the level of emotional intelligence among individuals in the modern world. From my interaction with the insights highlighted by this chapter, I discovered that emotions form a significant aspect of modern interactions because of their influence on the attitudes of individuals towards life. Therefore, the ability of individuals to connect with their peers is largely influenced by the available techniques that can be used to solve emerging problems.
Human beings possess a certain level of control over other forms of existence in the modern world. Compared to animals, human beings can make informed decisions based on the neocortex element of their brains that differentiate them from animals. From this realization, the concept of emotional intelligence is often evaluated based on the level of resilience exercised by individuals and their ability to overcome problems affecting their quality of life. This chapter demonstrated a certain aspect of emotional intelligence that is critical to the quality of interactions between individuals.
