Details that Need to be Discussed at the First Follow-up Appointment
From the assessment done with the family, there is a lot of issues that need to be examined and critically discussed for effective problem solving affecting the family. The family members had portrayed to have confidence issues and low self-esteem problems, which requires an urgent solution for smooth progress. In ensuring the return of confidence so that family can interact and relate with people, a psychosocial support program is needed. Additionally, the matter at hand to be discussed is the need to solve the esteem issue, which makes family have poor communication among themselves, teachers, colleagues and reducing confidence in public limiting their capability to accomplish their opportunities (Kim & Mansion, 2019). Therefore, on the first follow-up appointment, there is the need to address these issues in length, which can be a hindrance in trying to solve the whole situation. Also, to be discussed is the way to have both long term and short-term resolution to the situation.
Areas Agreed Upon Denise Norris in Terms of each Child and Herself
After the assessment, we had an agreement on several areas that Denise Norris will comply with so that we have a significant solution. First and foremost, we agreed that Denise would start listening to her children complains and stop ignoring as she has been doing, resulting in the demoralization of children. Secondly, we concurred that Denise would start honoring the calls from the teachers of each child, attend the school meetings and engage with teachers to assist them in solving the children issues they encounter there. Thirdly, we settled that Denise and her family will from immediate effect attend to therapy sessions which will those with low self-esteem boosted and instil confidence. Therapy sessions will be of great importance to make sure the wellbeing of clients is reinstated completely (Whittaker & Tracy, 2017).
What has been Completed and Shat Still Needs Attention
Several things have been accomplished after having numerous sessions and agreement with the family. Among the things completed, the family has shown full support to ensure therapy sessions are attended and complied with instructions given in the sessions. The relationship between the mother and her children has been established whereby there is good communication between them which is a step to solve the issues. Also, the family has accepted to involve with support groups that can assist in directing and empowering them on various matters. However, a few things still need attention to make the mission a successful one. The family still needs good support that will ensure they are economically stable since it is a single-parent family. If the economic status of the family is addressed, the health-related issues will be handled with ease, giving the family a relieve and focus in recuperating from the situation. Otherwise much has been achieved and the family can pick up easily and welcome new beginning free from conflict.
Emerging Issues and Complications that Might Derail Progress
Few issues are arising that needs immediate address before influencing the progress of family treatment. One of the complications which I have also mentioned in things that need attention is the economic status of the family. The struggles that family undergo in making ends meet can influence greatly on the treatment as Denise is forced to skip therapy sessions to look for work so that she can sustain the family. Also, the changing of schools to enable Denise to afford the fee for children can hinder children progress in school. Therefore, support groups are most welcomed in to assist the family in managing the issues and settle well.
