Evaluating Credibility. Select one of the following exercises to complete. For the chosen exercise, explain how you would go about evaluating the credibility of the information you have found. You must use at least two sources for your background research.
1.After another traffic death involving air bags, you are investigating the issue of air bag usage. Find three (3) newsgroup messages to get ideas of issues people are talking about. (For this exercise, review “Newsgroups and Forums” inComputer-Assisted Research, pp. 57-66.)
2. A new treatment for Parkinson’s disease has been announced. Find three (3) articles about Parkinson’s disease. (For this exercise, review “Discussion Lists” in Computer-Assisted Research, pp. 46-56.)
3. You are doing a series on domestic violence. Find three (3) forums where this is being discussed. (For this exercise, review “Newsgroups and Forums” in Computer-Assisted Research, pp. 57-66.)
The paper must be two pages in length and formatted according to APA style. Cite your resources in text and on the reference page.
