An entry level systems engineer
An experienced systems engineer
An executive in charge of an engineering division in a large company
A business or management analyst working in a consulting firm
A trained welder
Estimate the “unloaded” rates (rates that don’t have overhead applied yet”) for the following scenarios using the labor rate estimated for the entry-level systems engineer in question above.
The hourly rate on which the employee’s pay is based
The billable labor rate assuming 3 weeks of paid vacation and sick leave.
The unloaded billed rate assuming that that the system engineer will be required to spend up to one day per week on “unbilled” tasks, such as reporting or business development.
